The main objectives in the Strata Green IT course includes power management which covers computer power management along with office and network equipment power management; office environment that covers facilities along with employee behavior; virtualization technology along with client and server virtualization;  the disposal of hazardous materials including computer equipment and other materials; and Green IT policies which covers establishing a Green IT policy along with standards and governing bodies.

The CompTIA certification test includes multiple-choice questions. The test offers 30 questions and must be answered in 60 minutes. In order to pass the exam, students must receive a score of 70%.
